I got back to working away at the X-Fighter multiplayer feature the last couple of days ... For the game to understand what to do if a fighter hit point is destroyed, it had to know whether that player ship is enabled in the first place, and whether it's under AI or player control. So I expanded the options menu so that this info can be set in the configuration file, and then the game can read that information back out. So the 'prototype' of this multiplayer mode is probably going to be more fully-featured than I had in mind when I set off. The options menu has had a few tweaks. In the end, I want the options menu to integrated into the main menu, rather than it being a separate screen. That would be very elegant. I might give that a try in the following version. I had a tweak on with the Fusion runtime's display and performance options and it runs very smoothly with vsync turned on, so that is enabled by default. I'll put a hotkey on the main menu so that it can be turned off, in case it causes someone problems. Comments![]() Ruby Submit New Comment |
