If we're lucky, the vinyl figure crazy will hit Star Fleet this year:

I couldn't find out much more about them. If anyone comes across anything, please let me know and I'll put something on the site.

Greetings. Back in May last year I was sent an email by a certain vinyl toy production company, completely out of the blue. Turns out they've been producing other Go Nagai series figures, and this gentleman knew of X Bomber. Irony of ironies, Go Nagai's company didn't have reference material for the chosen characters from certain angles so guess who got asked to provide some!
After seeing the images here I got back in touch with him, and he tells me these are works in progress - the paint application process is being finalised and after that they'll be going into full production. I've probably got the initial designs he sent me at home, I'll get those over to Crash for his gallery at some point. I've been promised a set as and when, which is very good of him, so I'll let you know when they arrive.
Not sure if it's been noted elsewhere, but at the time the intention was that the figures would be 27cm long, soft vinyl? I only really noticed that last night funnily enough, I thought they'd be the size of those bobble head things but clearly that isn't the case if that's still their intention. Should be interesting to see the final product!

27cm - that seems quite tall but they'll stand out.
Have you noticed how Makara's figure seems to be missing its hair?
Anyway, the Dai-X is the one that really interests me.

I've asked Dan about the hair, she will have some, it's just going to be added later. It'll be several months yet before they're released, but I'll get some pictures up for you when they arrive if they don't get into the wild before then!

Suits me fine, I have lots of collectibles to save up for in the meantime.
There's a Bluetooth star trek original series communicator coming out.
I also want to try and get the separate stand for my NECA portal gun and the Triforce snub pistol from Gears of War.
It's good that they're paying attention to detail.
How funny is it though that such a 'little' show spins off all kinds of interesting things like this?

in 2016 it's nice to see companies investing in nostalgia and collectors.
I'm not really into this sort of thing, but I would pickup maybe one or two of these for a shelf just for a reminder/tribute to how much I enjoyed star fleet growing up as a boy.
great info, and a nice tip of the hat that the creator came to Andy to try to get more info.
