An interview with, ah, me?! Contains a small amount of Star Fleet but it's wider ranging!

As some of you may know I'm focusing more on YouTube content and toy collecting these days (hello Shane!) so now I'm sometimes asked to do stuff like this - where I'm interviewed by Salacious Rum! https://www.youtube.com/live/YlL9622V7F ... lGofGFPJzF

This is a cool video. The interviewer is quite entertaining. He made a good decision, doing an interview with you.

I haven't listened to the whole thing. I'll do it tomorrow, when I'm busy doing nothing.

I laughed when you brought up the new EagleMoss-replacement models for !Picard, and the interviewer was like "nah, not having any of that". He obviously has the same esteem for the new series as I do.

I like the poster by the way, I saw one with the same graphic many many years ago, (when I was at school) in Jenners in Edinburgh. It was quite expensive but it had a lot of smaller cut aways and detail images of parts of the ship and the support craft.
Even my mother was impressed with it and she loathed Star Trek.

What do you make of the new forum theme by the way? I forgot to ask you about it in the Teams call a while back. :)

Yes I like the new theme - not sure how much of the background I'm seeing on my setup but I just noticed the serenely moving constellations on the background! Very nice! Funny when I think how it all started on Network54 I think it was! I just popped another video up funnily enough, of the deeply old school way I first got all of the series onto my machine in the early days of SFXB! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cQdMtcF7ys

I'm interested to see how that works...
I'll give that a proper listen tomorrow.

In the evenings, I've been watching Team Knight Rider, which is another guilty pleasure of mine and I've moved from there onto Zentrix, which is a great series.

I needed a big graphic for the new forum banner in a hurry and the resolutions of new displays are getting really crazy, so I thought about using one of my big scans from those great illustrations that were done for the X Bomber merchandising in Japan.
In some ways, they look more impressive than the show itself.

I see that there's an upvote extension for PHPBB and I'm thinking about adding it. It would be a nice feature to have.
I'll look into it a bit more before I try to plug it in and see what happens.

I tried ages ago to recover the contents of the Network54 forum from Tapatalk, who took the company over.
I planned on hosting it here in a static format as flat files, because the wayback machine hasn't indexed the old, old forum very deeply at all.
If I'd been able to get a hold of a database file, it would've been interesting to see whether the threads from Network54 could've been merged into the PHPBB.
In any case, they basically told me that all those accounts that weren't recovered immediately after Network54 was bought out by Tapatalk were just scrapped, which is not a responsible way to deal with customer data. :(
