Reaction Video

Post by AndyThomas »

As I have a shiny new PC and have discovered reaction videos during lockdown, it's time to jump on the bandwagon! https://youtu.be/kj1o9GFGi1s

Re: Reaction Video

Next 3 episodes of reaction are now up. Interestingly this is the channel that seems to be making copyright claims, presumably automatically as these things are set up, but whilst it seems Bandai and Gundam related I'm not quite sure where their right to claim flows from if anyone's interested in doing the digging?

And here's me warbling from time to time! One thing I did pick up watching this on a reasonably large monitor (and forgive me if this is old news it may well be) is that if you squint closely you can tell that they sometimes use a much smaller scale X-Bomber when it's in the same shot as the Imperial Battleship. It's all part of how they're managing your perspective I think and they probably do it with the other ships too, but have a look at episode 4 in particular and you'll see that there's a part where X-Bomber suddenly looks a lot plainer and smoother than the detailed model does. Very clever technique that allows them to produce an illusion of a much bigger set than they actually have! I think because your brain is telling you it's a long way off you don't actually pick up on the lack of detail, I only noticed when the smaller model was in the foreground because then it's your focus?
