So, in response to reading Vanessa's prequel to Star Fleet, I figured I'd crank out the beginning to my own Star Fleet story that I've been sitting on for a while. My bogus copy of Office Pro 2010 seemed to know what I'd typed in a fortnight ago but didn't seem to know how to display it properly. It looked OK just now but if there's any weirdness in there, let me know (well, apart from the actual story itself).

Hey Crash, that's a great opening chapter. Lots of intrigue and some nice descriptions as well. Makes me want to read the next installment. Rain seems quite feisty, I wonder who the mystery pilot is...Hope you can update soon

Oh my God, this last fortnight has been dreadful.Every time you think they can't make working for Apple worse, they make it worse and the other thing is that they keep making it worse more frequently and more drastically every time.It is actually desperate and everyone's walking out.So, apparently, I've got a job working for HP instead but two agencies put me forward for two similar roles. So, now everyone's arguing and miscommunicating about which contract I'm getting and who gets the commission etc.That's not all of it but what it winds up as is: Manpower are the worst recruitment firm in the world. They're not actually capable of phoning up their client.Anyway, I now have three days off and I've been working on my story already.I've actually been doing it at work out of disgust at the company.Anyway, trying time, but I should have the next bit ready before long.

I seem to have caught a dreaded NetApp plague at my new job.
So, my head's been so hazy that I've got nothing done all week.

Chapter 2 is nearly ready and the ones after are coming together.

I need to borrow Shane's character; Emma and send her on a mission to shake things up.

Wow, I really can't believe that it's been 2 years since the last instalment of Rain Song.
Chapter 7 has been almost finished for a long time and I was checking it over and making some changes last night.

You can expect to see that made available soon. I also have quite a lot of Chapter 8.
