The UK DVD set was released in 2009 and contains four discs.
These DVDs are in PAL format with region 2 encoding and a resolution of 768x576.
The set was created from 8mm masters. As a result, its picture quality is average, with the picture being somewhat blurry and colours slightly washed out.
The audio of the episodes themselves, as opposed to extra features, is mono.
The box set is beautifully presented and contains an avalanche of extras; both on-disc and printed.
On-disc menus are beautifully animated, using a great deal of footage, music and sound effects from the series, and have a retro, 1980s feel that complements the show.
A great deal of attention clearly went into its production.
This set was also released in a slim-line edition, which is believed to contain the same 4 discs but none of the printed extras.
The set was re-encoded as region 4 and its packaging altered for release in Australia.

My copy was the prize from Vulpes Libris' competition. It's signed by Jay Benedict; the voice actor for Shiro Hagen in the show.
