The site let me know that there had been two recent attempts to leave comments.
A little while ago, I tried to get it so that the comments wouldn't break if MySQL special characters, such as quote marks, were entered.
The method for this is a lot less straightforward in newer versions of PHP and the documentation is inadequate.
So, even though the script looked correct, it was passing blank records into the database.
