The Look In article mentions it, but just as "a measure of distance". Mike's derivation is reasonable - 100 * 1000 - but 100,000 what I'm not sure! I'd have to listen to a clip in context. Probably 100,000 kilometres - when you're talking about measurements in space you have to think big! What's bugging me is that I've got this memory of a character explaining a military term for a distance but I can't attribute it to a particular show! Might have been Space Above and Beyond I was thinking of - they used MSKs as a measurement I think...

How far is a milliton?
I'd guess a thousandth of a lightyear, or something vaguely comparable to a lightyear. I seem to recall values of thousands of millitons being used for interstellar distances. What are the smallest milliton distances used in the series?
