Audio Remastering

These aren't the episodes themselves, just the audio for those confused, but the title should explain it allhttp://www.mediafire.com/?he24lzzd33cx921 - Episode 1http://www.mediafire.com/?477jf7xed62wwtr - Episode 2http://www.mediafire.com/?n2p04cm0gtfpfnu - Episode 3http://www.mediafire.com/?irn57wv7ikunsj2 - Episode 4http://www.mediafire.com/?7551bw8b9s8ntmb - Episode 5http://www.mediafire.com/?0cfbc6do9c8k9ib - Episode 6http://www.mediafire.com/?tfe5bx7i9b6l8x3 - Episode 7No, the audio is not stereo; I would require extensive professional tools in order to do that. Besides I don't consider Stereo audio a necessity for old series, the way Thunderbirds audio was remastered is a good reason against that. What I have done is extensive de-hissing of the audio from the DVD's and in some cases utilizing some of the VHS compilation tape audiosNothing special really for eps 1-6Episode 7 however has some reconstructed audio in areas utilized from the VHS tapes. Thanks goes to http://cosmobells.blogspot.com/2007....715b3b2 for links to VHS tape rips

http://www.mediafire.com/?ydn285lg1xl8xa2 - Episode 24This one is a little early, but I'm sharing it early because it's mostly reconstructed from overly hissy VHS rips which I feel I removed quite well, there's somewhat of a TV buzz audible in the background in some areas, but I don't hear it as being too distracting. The version on the DVD release sounded rather degraded - I'm not sure how to describe how it sounded but if you listen to the audio clips on the site from Episode 1 from "The Thalian Space Wars" VHS Tape - it has the same issue.Bits were taken from Volume 8 (most of the episode apart from the beginning was intact) and others (mainly ones that the hiss seemed more evident) were taken from "The Space Quest for F-01" from the Japanese DVD's which entailed some carefully re-syncing. The "Space Quest for F-01" is slowed down considerably (everything sounds unrealistically low) on the DVD and thus slowing it down back to a 24fps rate is hard to do with Audacity - at least where it stays in exact sync with the original product.

http://www.mediafire.com/?r0ps992xxudkqxj - Episode 8 - not very certain if the outcome is very goodhttp://www.mediafire.com/?ar78bia4a06tb01 - Episode 9http://www.mediafire.com/?da11pvw40x1m9dg - Episode 10 - re-edited the scenes where the commercial cut out to - the DVD cut it off a bit too early.http://www.mediafire.com/?48y14qwifkcscpk - Episode 11 - reconstructed some areas from the VHS - both have a buzzing sound in the background that I couldn't get rid of - the buzzing is less noticable on the VHS tapehttp://www.mediafire.com/?m51n3fqljjr5nrv - Episode 12 - reconstructed the part when the Termoid laughs after telling Lamia his plans -- there were gaps in that part. Also re-added the music cue from before the commercial - it was removed on the DVD but present on the VHShttp://www.mediafire.com/?m4op5pzb8w1ocml - Episode 13 - I messed a little more with the audio - heightening the treble levels

Would give Fabulous Films more of an actual reason to f*** your site over. All I did was dehiss the audio - not remaster it to stereo or anything - as much as I would love to do that, I don't have access to such tools.

Lol, in the words of Augustus Cole in Gears of War:"Nobody stops the Cole Train!"You've done an awesome job. I understand that I have time off over the bank holiday although nothing is certain here.I think we need to try and get those French DVDs before summer.

I found that, when I tried to order the full version of Bomber X from the French Amazon; the Collector's edition in other words, Amazon told me that it simply would not deliver to my UK address. It will however allow me to get the slimline edition. The thing to realise there is that the Collectors edition has 6 discs, apparently, whereas the slim version has 4.Now, it seems likely to me that we might get the purported 4-disc version and wind up with less of the full, uncut series than we bargained for.I mean, no company is going to go to the expense of issuing a boxset on 6 discs when they could perfectly well have fitted the same content on 4 discs. So, I wrote to Amazon in the UK quoting a bunch of European Community law, and complaining how they were interfering with my fundamental freedoms as an EU citizen.I doubt it'll change anything but it might make them take notice and send me the thing.I was planning on getting both versions and sending you the best one but meh.I might end up having to get the basic one if all else fails.I can't understand how their website complained about sending the full set and was fine about sending the slimmed down version of the exact same show. What a pile of s***.
