Hello you lot. As much as I am static boy these days, I'll throw my coins in. SFXB is over 10 years old, and it has never been produced with anything approaching a WYSIWYG editor. Trying to code a website is a task in and of itself, and it is not one suited to everyone. All the sites that have developed over the years have had very different styles, and I think at some point someone will do something that lets Dave put content up without worrying too much about structure; X-Archive was good at that, I think. It's a shame a Wikia wouldn't work, I've come across some really good ones recently, but not hosted on fan sites, hosted on wikia dot com generally. There is, I think, strength in diversity. I have been a sort of caretaker for the "reality" of the show, I have looked to keep its memory alive. Others have looked beyond that to specialise in the merchandise, the history of these shows. Other still have used it as a springboard for superb creative works that build on the original lore. The Internet is a big place. There is room for everyone to have their own space, to do it their own way. For a small fan base it makes sense to have a single port of call which this forum has become, but this isn't and never has been a one man show. Look at SFXB's Site Log.I can't see the sites merging. They're all very different, differently maintained, and quite honestly as long as they all link to each other it really doesn't matter in the slightest. To my mind a Wikia would be the logical place for a site like mine, but I think it would be too limiting for others. Perhaps a Deviantart account or something, I don't know. Even Facebook. The thing is this. This is a hobby, and if you're not careful, it can be an all consuming one. Pretty much all of those who really remember the show are of a certain age now where we are starting to look to another generation and what they're growing up on.There came a point I think, even before I was ill, when I came to a realisation that sometimes you need to focus on yourself a little more and not be constantly striving to do things for others, otherwise you burn out and what you used to enjoy becomes a chore. So now, I play Eve. Probably a bit too much. But it's fun. And fun is important. And I'm Shiro McCloud, if you're wondering. And have a few ISK spare. Fly safe!

As far as I'm concerned I could just continue to pay for the www.bigdaix.co.uk domain every two years and leave it at that.I do however feel that the X Bomber behind the scenes project I've proposed would be beneficial to me outside of fandom, as I'm in the process of learning Japanese. Where this extended article ends up is another matter. Maybe it'll end up on a revamped Big Dai X down the line, Crash's site or Dave's site.Again, I've mentioned this before, but a blog style site would probably be the best way to go for Dave, or even myself if I can't be arsed to do anything with Big Dai X.
I like parties, I like fun, I want to live in a hamburger bun!
