Makara cruiser 3d

Postby Matsukami » Tue Oct 25, 2016 7:54 am

Hello to all.
After a first stage with the realization of the model 3d of the bomber X, I would wish to move on to the next stage :the cruiser of commander Makara and after the flying fortresses of Orion (admiral Carzule)
So have I need for a maximum of documentations.
Mainly i have the 2D plans of the cruiser but also the computing modellings of Bradster or Desherratt 74.
I also make every effort of copy screen of the show.
I call it to the community fleet a star of the forum, if you have photos or anything, I thank you for it.
Cordially

I've only ever come across side illustrations or elevations of Makara's cruiser.
I would love a top-down diagram of the ship to help me put my game together.

I'm not sure Brad finished his CGI model of that ship and I've not come across any others of it anywhere.

There is a small plastic model kit still available of the ship. It's quite basic but it looks reasonably accurate.

I wonder whether something like that, along with the line drawings from the Japanese soundtrack LP and screenshots from the show from various angles might be enough to put together a really good CGI version of the ship.

I wonder if there's any film company or person we could write to and request some more source material but the show is old now.
Dream big and bold and daring.

The original models burned in the warehouse. OK. Actually we have this small model of mark toys . A person also made a model in Plasticine, not bad at all.

I remember, in the Molthane/volcano planet episode, you get a top-down view of the ship as X-Bomber flies over it and the camera points down.

I'll see if I can get a decent screengrab from the French DVDs.

There was a fellow who created a model of X-Bomber and Makara's battlecruiser in modelling clay. They were very good but I'm not sure if you could use them for reference etc.

I wondered if this little fellow might give you an idea of the proportions etc:
