Heartbreaking news.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
Thank you Jay for being a massive part of something that has given me immense joy, not only in my childhood but ever since. I still watch SF every year, this year’s viewing will be incredibly bittersweet.
RIP

I joined the site in 2004 and I'm sure some vids were up at that point....

Re: How would you go about getting the REMASTER DVDs?
These are previews I've done with Episode 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAB2do8AY3o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNfvMLBtfrY (same, but alongside the original UK DVD version for comparison) Ignore the compression from my lack of understanding of compression early on. You learn as you go on....

Re: How would you go about getting the REMASTER DVDs?
Sounds like an interesting challenge - might have a bash at the first episode, just to satisfy my own curiosity. Have had a quick scan through the first episode on the French set - given the low(er) quality of the opening and closing credits then I think what I'll end up doing is just swapping out t...

Re: How would you go about getting the REMASTER DVDs?
If you rip from a BD into an MKV container then you shouldn't lose anything. AQ and PQ should be retained nicely. I was more thinking of the loss of menus and such. Doesn't really bother me as long as I have the episodes looking and sounding as great as they can be. I'll try and test the waters with...

Re: How would you go about getting the REMASTER DVDs?
Those scans look great, can't wait to have a proper look through them later on. Looks like some glorious stuff there. The 'behind the scenes' shots look fascinating. Such a shame that most, if not all, of the sets went up in flames. I'm planning on remuxing the French transfer with the English...

Re: How would you go about getting the REMASTER DVDs?
That's pretty much what I concluded as well, that FF had maybe sub-licenced to Kaze. I've only made my way through the first episode so far, haven't looked at the extras, so not sure which might span both releases. This is the first time I've seen the French version of the show. As an English-speake...

Re: How would you go about getting the REMASTER DVDs?
What was Fabulous Films' role with the French DVDs? Their name's on the back of the case, along with Enoki.
