Re: Video from the Expo

Hi Andy,
Great video - you did a great job finding that!

@1:36 - Get those Japanese tourists out the way! :D

Re: Star Fleet is 40 today!

Great post, Btw, we're running a Star Fleet Skype: either end of this month or next - keep an eye out on the forum, would be awesome to chat about the show, I'm watching the show again now in the upscaled version, and I never noticed that Lee has an ice cream with him when he's sitting in the snowmo...

Re: Star Fleet episode subtitles

The US blu-ray that came out the other year has the Japanese version of the show, complete with subtitles, which didn't appear to be baked into the image. It even includes the "preview show" pilot, complete with subtitles, since it was never dubbed. The subtitles looked (to me at least) li...

Re: Star Fleet episode subtitles

Ah, good shooting. I haven't got any SRT files or subtitle files on the site, which seems odd that it's not come up before ... I figure this might be the best way to get them from the DVD: see step 4, which involves Handbrake, which I use for various things and is open-source, free and works on both...

Re: Star Fleet episode subtitles

Hi EyeWizard, This is a very interesting question... An easier way altogether for a better-quality English-language version might be to download this: https://xbomber.co.uk/?a=589 The method for ripping practically anything from optical media is always trickier than it has to be, due to disc regions...

Re: Takatoku Dai-X ST

Hi Andy!
Now I see what you mean by the die-cast one ...
Very nice!

I will get this image added in the toys and mechandise area of the site.
It needs a better name for that part of the site. It seems descriptive but makes It sound a bit ... trivial that way.

Re: VRCHAT star fleet worlds

I'm not very familiar with this service, but looks a bit like the usual online VR chat services that you hear about online... I was thinking about putting on a Skype group call every-so-often for Star Fleet fans to reminisce and talk about our current projects so that we can get feedback on them in ...

Re: Star Fleet is 40 today!

Needs the proper promotion, that's all. :) This is one of many areas where xbomber.co.uk could do better - promoting the works of the fans. But, as the last independent Star Fleet site that gets frequently updated, it also needs frequent feedback from more people so that I can see better what it sho...

Re: Star Fleet is 40 today!

Well, I think you should finish it. I can't take credit for anything that goes on over on the book of faces. Nothing to do with me anymore, I'm afraid I don't think I know a single person that found the Star Wars sequel trilogy to be any good. The prequels had their problems because it was like watc...

Re: Star Fleet is 40 today!

Hi Shane! It's great to hear from you. I set up Ruby to remind people of the show airing dates and other things, when she's not bossing the visitors around. :D I remember when I first saw Star Fleet on VHS, thinking that, although it was the same format as Thunderbirds and Terrahawks, it was amazing...
