Re: Forum Downtime

It's been a while since the thread was updated but I wanted to let people know about changes with our host that are taking place, without discussing it on the site's front page... The sites on Krystal's physical webservers are being migrated across to their public cloud infrastructure: Katapult, whi...

Re: New US Release w/ Japanese version

Hi Jack!
I was pleased with the SD blu-ray for that same reason.

If you haven't seen it, check out dym005's AI-upscaled version of the English-language release.
It looks really good and it gave me a new appreciation for the series:

Re: Bryan May - 40th Anniversary Stuff

I liked the gold print t-shirt but I've bought a lot of clothes this year.

Re: Big Dai-X Model Kit

Good find on the retailers!
It does look really good.

I remember getting the ~2014 Evolution Dai-X from Kapow. They were very good to deal with.

Re: Star Fleet Upscaled

These are great. This is no video streaming site, but I've added these onto here because they're really good. https://xbomber.co.uk/?dir=Star%20Fleet/Fan%20Work%20Contributors%20A-M/dym2005 youtube is a great way of getting videos seen by a lot of people for a short time. We've noticed here in the p...

Re: Babylon 5 on Blu Ray

Wow! Just wow, Thanks for the info, I would love to see this. In the age of AI, it's not so difficult as it was to do with Star Trek TNG, and you can even make it look good where the original film and CGI models are all missing. I was thinking about having another watch-through, even though it's onl...

Re: Star Fleet Upscaled

I can absolutely imagine that it would've taken an awful lot of work. I know from BladeZ, who has done a lot of work on remastering Star Fleet, what the complications are, just in syncing up the video from the French DVDs with the audio from an English-language release, which, I gather is what's bee...

Re: Star Fleet Upscaled

Hi dym2005! Thanks for trying again to register! The problem was that we had to demand email verification due to huge volumes of spam sign-ups. But there was a problem with the forum's mailserver config, which seems to have deterred a lot of sign-ups around that time. I have a copy of the upscaled v...

Re: Video from the Expo

That's interesting info about the software available for use on this. When you have imperfections in the individual frames, it matters a lot less when 24 go by every second. Discotek had some interesting ideas with their blu-ray release, but putting on the whole series in Japanese, with subtitles, i...

Re: Video from the Expo

Well, this is the thing. I think they had some big prints of that at the Expo, as well as the original. The Earth HQ and many others are brilliant as well but the moonbase one is especially magical. Photoshop now has a kind of pseudo-AI enlargement option for resizing an image overall, called 'prese...
