Re: Yet another X-Bomber 3d build

For me, LegTrax is the most interesting of the 3 Dai-X fighters, because it undergoes the most significant/obvious transformation in order to form part of the robot. That might mean that it's the most challenging to do. … For my money, I don't see how the 'tracks' on Legtrax can actually be contain...

Re: Yet another X-Bomber 3d build

Thanks for the kind works, everyone! :) Matsukami2, I completely agree. That's a great way to think about this process. Trust your eyes and instincts! As for my April update... I must confess: I was feeling creative burnout after all that great progress with MainBody, and I set this whole project as...

Re: Yet another X-Bomber 3d build

I'm nearly two weeks late to my "monthly" update. I promise I didn't forget! I kept feeling like I was so close to finishing MainBody... but the days kept passing as I obsessed over some of the details. It's not quite 100%, but I'm pretty satisfied with most of it. I may rebuild some...

Re: Yet another X-Bomber 3d build

Thanks! I actually still have most of my old models, and I was recently thinking about reopening them just to render a few higher-res images with consistent lighting and camera angles. Maybe before long I'll do that and post them to replace anything you might have on hand before you get too deep int...

Yet another X-Bomber 3d build

A couple weeks ago, I posted about this in the Forum Downtime thread, but I figured I should make its own thread so I don't needlessly clutter up others. :) Last year I started my Nth rebuild (honestly, I've lost count at this point) of the X-Bomber in 3D. I promised myself that I'd finish the darn ...

Re: Star Fleet episode subtitles

Ha! That's fine, and honestly rather good to hear. I'm glad that some professionals took the effort, and I suppose that means I just need to pay up and get a copy of that Blu-ray release! As for transcoding and muxing audio and video from different sources, I've tried exactly that, and unfortu...

Re: Forum Downtime

Thanks for the welcome! :) Nah, I'm afraid I don't have anything really worth posting on the site just yet. There's that sculpting stuff I've started on which you saw, but I'd like to at least build a body for Hercules before calling it "done". I also just posted another thread about some ...

Re: Star Fleet episode subtitles

Hmm… and now that I sit back and re-read what I wrote here, I just had another realization: there's a newer Blu-ray release of Star Fleet out now too, right? Any idea if that version finally has English subtitles, rendering this whole dumb effort moot?

Star Fleet episode subtitles

Over the decades, I've had the US VHS tapes (set of 8 compilation mega-episodes), a set of bootleg VCDs made from the US VHS tapes, the 2009 UK DVD set, the 2009 French DVD set (Bomber X: Intégrale), and locally-made rips of all those DVDs. Whenever I'm in a nostalgic mood, I'll flip through a folde...

Re: Forum Downtime

I just wanted to pop my head in here and say thank you Crash! for keeping this old ship afloat through what sounds like several tumultuous migrations! I don't know of any other online haven for Star Fleet fans, and even if this place isn't terribly active, I'm always thrilled to see it's still avail...
