Well here's something new ...
This painting was done in 2004 by Maemura Kyotsu as part of a range of illustrations commissioned by Gentosha Comics.

The style reminds me a lot of the Toshio Okazaki illustrations for the Showa books, but maybe even finer.

In any case, the painting is being sold in Japan on Yahoo auctions:
